Every time I stop to think about how social networks have taken hold and how they can be really useful to group the fans of a band at the same time be a means to exchange information about unbeatable so quickly. I remember in the late 90s, when I was a teenager, the only way to get news or word of mouth was (but unreliable - was published a post about it on our Facebook page ) or magazines. In the middle there was only a great silence, something that now no longer exists if you look at the time frames which were published news, compared to the frequency of the updates that you can find on the net, even about the most stupid news. Think about it, have already been nearly four years since the publication of Black Ice, but there was one month (beyond the news about the tour) where not left updates on the band, both on the site, both on Facebook. Perhaps that is why the "need for a new exit" is not so urgent as the desire to see the band live.
In 2003, the success of AC / DC Italy consisted in being the first source in Italian updated, ready to use, and above all more frequently than the printed, after all, the same great advantage of the internet itself. Before the existence of the social network gathering place for fans of AC / DC in Italy was the discussion (and for many still is, along with other meeting points "historical" on the web, one on all the forums of acdcpower.net now in decline), but I consider it appropriate to highlight how Facebook, if used sparingly and seriousness, can play the same role. The response was found to be much more immediate and less cumbersome (all already have an account and do not have to do anything more if you do not comment) but at the same time answers that would have been inevitably criticized the lack of a forum for constructive, here coexist with the most comprehensive smoothly, giving the user more freedom to express themselves as they see fit, without being "moderate" or judged, if not about the education and the spam. I also think it is a veritable treasure trove for direct advice, and I was delighted to Sony in particular, to have immediate feedback about new publications, and how people can turn up their noses or like a certain kind of marketing promotional material relating to the band.
Speaking of AC / DC, Twitter is hard to engage as Google+: my idea is that in Italy the first social network is more appropriate for individuals rather than the "reality", while the second is only an anchor undeveloped alternative to Facebook, which offers no particular advantage. While issuing the updates in fact, the response has not been so fruitful as for the latter. I also think that the characters are limited to Twitter a constraint expression and, in our case, have the sole utility of diffusion of innovations, as well as brief answers to users.
I noticed (through the various detailed access statistics) as in some ways the site is really seen as an "archive" every accessible what you want and how accesses are directly proportional to the publications of posts on Facebook. Here it is still possible to focus primarily on the site itself, a fundamental condition to change the layout in a view guided by immediate fan of what the user wants first of all news and updates.
Unfortunately, for reasons of time and coincidences it was not possible to revolutionize the site before the Black Ice Tour, otherwise, with the benefit of hindsight, I would really like to update live in the middle of the parterre, what was going on.
